Job Duties of Physiotherapists

General Duties Of Physiotherapists
- Assess clients’ physical capacities using evaluating techniques including functional ability tests, and provide a physiotherapy diagnosis.
- Set therapy goals for patients based on diagnoses.
- Create and implement physiotherapy treatment regimens that incorporate therapeutic exercise, manipulations, massage, education, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, and other modalities.
- Evaluate the efficacy of treatment plans and change accordingly.
- Provide advise on exercise and home-based activities to enhance and/or maintain treatment.
- Communicate with referring physician and other health care experts about the clients’ problems, requirements, and progress.
- Maintain clinical and statistical records, and consult with other healthcare specialists.
- Create and implement health-promoting initiatives for clients, staff, and the community.
- May perform research in physiotherapy.
- Provide consultation and instructional services as needed.
